Lumen Grid operates battery storage sites that balance the UK grid. Operators watch 60 sites from one dashboard, which is now ten years old.

The role

A six-month contract, outside IR35, to rebuild the operator dashboard in React and TypeScript with a team of three. Two days a week in the King's Cross office.

What you'll do

• Build real-time views of charge, price and alarms over WebSockets

• Set up the component library and testing approach

• Work directly with operators in the control room

What you bring

• Senior-level React and TypeScript

• Experience with live data and charts

• Available to start within four weeks

Rate

£550–£650 a day, outside IR35, six months with a likely extension.
